Can someone explain the difference between the 3 and 2 wheel weaver? The pros & cons. Thanks

From what I can see, if you already had your handle on the blank and wanted to do a weave close to the handle, the 2 wheel version would allow you to do that.

The three wheel version let's you do longer weaves without the threads tangling on the other side of the wheel. The third wheel slides to adjust as the weave moves to the left.

I have the 3 wheel version and have never used the third wheel.

The two wheel version has a larger bore (1 3/4") than the three wheel original, in the left side hub and two sets of screws for a firm fit. This will allow it to fit over most reel seat hoods and some of the larger grips. So it can be mounted on the reel seat barrel. The three wheel model, with the third wheel that travels, controls all threads better, but especially metallic thread. Long tails of metallic thread can twist together and are a real pain. The two wheel version must therefore be set farther left as you would a flat loom. The two wheel version is less expensive than the three wheel version. The two wheel version can be purchased with the standard right side wheel as a complete set. The larger bore hub can be purchased by itself, if you already have the three wheel version. The foam wheel and plastic rings from the third wheel on the original WW are used on the larger bore left hub, so buying the whole assembly is not necessary if you already have the three wheel version. The only problem you may face, is with the way the original was numbered. The decal is now put on the plastic ring, not on the foam. So you may need to replace those. I don't know if the new catalog is out to all the retail dealers that handle the WW, so you might want to order directly from Renzetti, as the others may not know what you're talking about.
