URRS, just completed a multi piece 8 ft. fly rod.
Using the CCS, 38c/65%, ERN 4.6 (4wt), ACT m/f, just what the data listed. Headed out to do some casting when the mailman handed me 10-4, that ended my testing as I had to give the URRS a try. Results where: @21†26c @28†29c @35†30c min at 26c TP ERN 2.82 Half rod length def 129c PR ERN 13.11 OK, so this hobbyist needs help understanding the results. Tried to keep this short, Stanford Yerger. Re: URRS

Okay, you may want to go back and read the CCS article again. An ERN of 4.6 does not necessarily indicate that it is a 4-weight rod. Also, there is no "medium fast" action in the CCS. Action there is expressed in number of degrees.
The URRS is just a method for expanding the system into the realm of better determining the lure weight rating for casting and spinning rods since most of those cast the lure off the tip and it is a bit more difficult to relate ERN to lure weight range. It is doubtful that you'd need to use it on fly rods. ................ Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/27/2007 10:45AM by Tom Kirkman. Re: URRS

I should add this, as it might answer all your questions -
The CCS is a system of relative measurement, just like our temperature scale or weights and measures systems. For instance, a rod with an ERN of 4 is going to be less powerful than one with an ERN of 6 and more powerful than one with an ERN of 3. Likewise, an AA of say, 70, is going to be slower than one with an AA of 75 and faster actioned than one with an AA of 65. That's really all there is to it. As in all things, everything is relative to something else. The URRS expands the system so that you can apply the numbers to casting and spinning lure weight ranges. That's all. .................... Stanford,
I believe you will be less confused if you simply report your TP=2.82 and PR as 13.1. These values have nothing to do with the ERN value except they are determined from the same numerical scale in the Table and describe your rod. TP will always be less than ERN and PR will always be greater. That's just the way it is for a tapered tube. The numbers you got are just those of your rod, which would rate as a URRS=4:2:13 rod.
