marbeling question

just finished watching "putters" dvd on the subject and really enjoyed it. one question, after the process is done, do you then over coat with a layer of epoxy finish? thanks Re: marbeling question

95% of the time, I do. Especially if there's metallic pigments used. I've left fishing reels, light switch covers, and wall plug covers un-coated, though, and they look great still years later, Jim. Thanks for the nice words. Putter Williston, ND Re: marbeling question

Jim,A top coat of finish also adds a little depth to the appearance and a little more protection.I have one with a split grip that rubs on the rod holder and it is holding up great.I figure when it does get beat up I`ll add another coat to spruce things up a bit.
