Billy...Remember me I am one of those "Old Goats" who still beleives in Marbels ?...anyway... You and I were on the right wave lengths for CP as I started with Brilliance in the early 70's, went to Gudebrod 811 when it was new out, and out of all the others I ONLY used Brilliance ll and also found it compareable to 811. Now all is lost with this new 811 Gudebrod is tinkering with on us and also
no more Brilliance ll on the market....BILLY what do we do ???? Have you found a CP to your liking yet ??? As far as I am concerned you are "The Man" when it comes to colors [a true artist]...Did I stroke the artist ego in you enough to open up that bag of secrets and advise us what to use at this stage of the game.... Again....BILLY what do we do ???? All leg pulling aside Billy I truly enjoy your work and wisdom on this matter. Tight Lines Tight Wraps Fishin'Stix by Fred Re: Question for Billy V

I fortunately have 1 4oz bottle of B2 left, trying to get a couple more, and I have 1 4oz bottle of 811 old stock left. OF the rest, FC & U40 are pretty good, imo better than the new stock of 811. Outside of that, I'd wait to see if any new products are on the market, which I strongly suspect there will be in time for High Point.
PS - if you want to stroke my ego, tell me what a sarcastic idiot I am, I like hearing that better. Makes me feel like I'm home & my wife is talking to me. lol. Re: Question for Billy V

The truth is we already figured out how to not talk. During the week she trains to box every night, she gets home I go to sleep. WEekends I have been going fishing, I get home and go to sleep, she goes out with her friends.
Fred, the worse CP in my test was Minwax Polycrylic. In that CP test pic it's one of the 2 which darkened the thread the most. Re: Question for Billy V

Have you tried the "newer" NOT QUITE SO MILKY #811... not like the old stuff, but better than the 1st milky stuff and better than the stinky stuff...
My work with silks are comming out fine when I use 4 coats of #811 with 2 hours drying time in between.. the only other "stuff" that the boys on the bamboo side of the world use for their silk is "Al's cp" from Anglers workshop... they say it is the stuff to use... I have emailed them several times , but have yet to get an answer. Re: Question for Billy V
