I need some help with makeing single thread trim bands over an underwrap. I did an underwrap and want to make a single band of one color then a differant color and a final band of the first color. Re: single thread trim bands

Dale Not sure I 100% understand what you are asking, but you can do this: Tape two treads of the color you want to make single thread wraps out of horizontally on the blank. now put two pull through loops on as well. Next do your main wrap over the two threads and two pull through loops, being sure to bring out the pull through loops ends part way down the wrap.. next wrap the first thread arround the blank and pull through with the loop. now wrap the last single thread and pull it through with the pull loop. this should give you two singe thread wraps on the end of your main wrap. You just need to put the loops and the threads in the correct position arround the blank to make a complete circle arround it. Kerry Re: single thread trim bands

I don't know how to make the single band over the underwrap. Had you done it as part of the underwrap you could have made it using an inlay or if you wanted it to be on the end you could have tied it in with the underwrap and then inserted a pull-thru loop in there and made it a one band trim. Otherwise, I'm afraid I'm stumped. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
