You'll get all the help you want/need here. Be sure to browse the Library, FAQ's, Glossary and Photo pages (requires separate registration) for tons of info. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Although NOT an organization (nothing to join) some of the world's best rod builders "hang out" here and are more than willing to help out and share their knowledge!!

You might want to unhide your e-mail address so people can contact you direct

If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!!

There is no organization involved here. It's free and open to anybody who can stay inside the very few rules listed above. Have fun.

Agreed - great bunch of people here that willingly share their info for free. You will not find more talent in one place anywhere else. This site has accelerated my skills in ways I can't even explain. Of course, I still am not the caliber of many (most?) on here, but I'm getting better :-) Best of all, it's free - unless you count all the stuff you will buy because you HAVE to try the new technique someone mentions/shows. The only thing better than this website is Rodmaker magazine. Do yourself a HUGE favor and subscribe now, and also buy all the back issues that you think will interest you. Money well spent.

One last thing - USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION!! It is UNREAL how much info there is in the old postings (you know, beyond page 1:-) I have answered a ton of questions by searching for the answer instead of just asking it again. You can't always get your answer, but alot of times you can. You will learn alot of other stuff too. I actually spent (way too much) time going over every page of the forum and opening topics that interested me. I almost overheated our DSL line at home, but I learned alot :-)
