no idea what they are made out of but they clean EVERYTHING...i used to work doing pools at condos and the pool would get a ring of lotion on the tiles and thats about the only thing that would take the ring off Re: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

I'll have to try this thing. I presume you get from the detergent isle in a grocery store? Is it the "Mr. Clean" of laundry detergent fame? never used the product.
Thanks, Ron. Re: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

I got them for taking spots off the boat, they work great on fiberglass and upholstrey. Do you wet them first for cork applications? Re: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

Great for getting residual dog excrement out of linoleum!!...curious if they'd lightly scuff a gloss finish blank?

make sure you get the ones without the yellow thing in the middle....we order them from a supplier and they have some with a yellow pad in the middle that will scuff and they have the ones that are just a full white pad
dont take my word for it though try it on a the handle or something to make sure it doesnt scuff or scratch Re: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

According to the MSDS for the product is a "melamine foam with cleaning agents" so the foam must have a abrasive scouring effect.
[www.pgbrands.com] Interestingly melamine foam appears to also be used as a sound absorption foam in audio applications. Re: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

It took ALOT of crayon drawings off the kids' bedroom wall and it did not degloss the latex paint.
