Hi Everyone,
I'm about to mount my first acid roller tip and was wondering if anyone had any pointers before I get started. I was planning on using Andy's 5 minute gel epoxy. I notice the tip top tube is completely hollow front to back and was wondering if I need to tape up the front end in any way to keep the epoxy from pushing out onto the roller.... Any suggestions would be very appreciated, Jeff Re: Mounting acid roller tip top

Sorry about that Jeff, traveling.
I don't know what the melting point is on that Gel, but you might want to check before mounting the top, just to make sure you can get it off in the future if needed. I can get a top with FC 5 minute loose without too much heat if I need to. Some of those pastes can have a pretty high melting point. I just hold my finger over the front of the tube and mount like you would any top. Be ready to clean up any ooze out the front after a minute or so.
