I want a 7' MH rod that can handle 20lb braid. I'l be using cork handle and fishing mostly inshore species. Sensitivity and weight are not as importaint to me as durability. Thanks. Re: Please suggest a stout IM 6 or similar MH saltwater spinning blank.

Take a look at the Rainshadow RCLB70L ---> []
We sell a lot of these to locals that I'd fear putting a straight graphite blank in the hands of. Light and tough. Never had a return. Mark Griffin [] C&M Custom Tackle San Dimas, California Re: Please suggest a stout IM 6 or similar MH saltwater spinning blank.

Rainshadow SWS70L would be another good choice, IMO. Re: Please suggest a stout IM 6 or similar MH saltwater spinning blank.

Ditto on the Rainshadow and Forecast Blanks. Another really strong rod that amazes me with it's strength is the Gator Glass rods. I built a 7 ft GGB1030 last year and it would work very well for 20 lb braid. These blanks are like Ugly sticks and are spiral wrapped for strength. I liked it so well after a year of fishing hard in Mexico with it that I built two more in other weights. Less than $30 retail on these. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
