Hey guys. I don't have many catalogs of guide manufactures so dont really know what is out there. I am looking for the highest frame lightest titanium guide on the market. What are my options? Thanks guys.

Sincerely,
Dan Colville

The lightest high framed titanium guide is the Fuji gold Cermet. The double footed model is T1SVGG. The single foot is T1LVGG. Be prepared for sticker shock, they are expensive.

RECoil are definitely the lightest. Fuji are the highest. Fuji has the most choices ... SiC Titanium in a myriad of options, including the sharp single-leg concept style AND Gold Cermet Titanium as well.

You can search any of that info on the internet without a catolog.
That way you will at least be able to look at some of the pictures most of their web pages are listed to the left

I am not a Fuji sales spokesman but if you are looking for the best guides to use on 300 dollar blank for fly fishing that is what I would recommend. All of the rods I build for myself have them. If I brake a rod I just strip off the cermet guides and put on a new rod. Even guides that I've used on three or four rods still look new. No corrosion of the frames or wear on the rings. So I would say they are worth the money in the long run. They are the only guide I know of that will far outlast any rod blank you put them on. And boy do they look good.

I believe the Fuji TATSG (titanium, single foot, SIC) may be the lightest. In some sizes, I weighed them and they weight about the same as the Recoils of the same size. Really!

For the same sizes and height, are the Cermets really lighter than the TATSG? Has anyone compared? I would guess that the TATSG is still the lightest.

Hey Dan,
I would definitely look at the NIA series from us at American Tackle. High Framed, Light weight guide that performs and is reasonably priced for being Solid Titanium.
Also be sure to look for our New Titanium Ring Lock Guides, they were a big hit at ICAST. Very Light weight, 100% corrosion proof, and have a "locked in" ring to prevent ring loss.
