I am just a newbie to rod building. Working on my second build .My first using Theadmaster. Is it ok to put Theadmaster Lite on my underwraps then wrap my guides on and coat with regular Threadmaster 2 or 3 days later? If not what is the longest I can wait? Never know when I'll be home from work each day. Sometimes it might be to late to work on my project. Thanks for any advice Re: Threadmaster over Threadmaster lite

Yes. However when you finish the wraps and put finish on them, I think Andy recommends re-coating within 48 hours. Re: Threadmaster over Threadmaster lite

Per an email from Andy today, in responce to a questin I had about the light thread Master. You could use the light for your top coat also Re: Threadmaster over Threadmaster lite

Bryan,
The High Build and the Lite are exactly the same technology, just different viscosities....100% compatible with one another. You can use one over the other and vice versa. I have found that I really like guides wrapped and then "primed" with the lite, with a coat of High Build over the top. The lite penetrates quicker, and allows more working time. while the topcoat with High Build provides a harder finish a little sooner than the Lite. Both will cure to very similiar hardness, however the High Build cures harder, faster. Andy Dear Lamar Fishing Re: Threadmaster over Threadmaster lite

Just scuff the finish lightly and dont sand the threads. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
