Hello all,

First off, this site is the best I've ever used to research for info & inspiration regarding rod building. I've only been rod building for several months & I just finished my third one - I guess you could say I caught THE bug:) I think I am ready for the next level. I am thinking of Terry Henson & other's wonderful grips that I would like/try to copy. I am looking for sources of where I could purchase the items below:

*Buffalo horn/alternative
*Ivory/alternative
*Birch bark
*Any burl wood

Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. You guys are the best.

Thanks in advance,

Jose Deona

Knife making supply houses are usually good sources for things like horn, scales, etc. Try K&G or Texas Knifemakers Supply. You should be able to locate them with a Google search.

Jose - I may be able to help you out with the birch bark. I am literally surrounded by it here in northern Wisconsin :-)
