Hello all,
First off, this site is the best I've ever used to research for info & inspiration regarding rod building. I've only been rod building for several months & I just finished my third one - I guess you could say I caught THE bug:) I think I am ready for the next level. I am thinking of Terry Henson & other's wonderful grips that I would like/try to copy. I am looking for sources of where I could purchase the items below: *Buffalo horn/alternative *Ivory/alternative *Birch bark *Any burl wood Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. You guys are the best. Thanks in advance, Jose Deona Re: Grip/Handle Materials Source

Knife making supply houses are usually good sources for things like horn, scales, etc. Try K&G or Texas Knifemakers Supply. You should be able to locate them with a Google search.

Jose - I may be able to help you out with the birch bark. I am literally surrounded by it here in northern Wisconsin :-) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
