guide size for 7wt fly rod

i will be using single foot ceramics, probably fuji alconites. what size for the running guides? 5.5? 6? 7?will use same size except for stripper. what size stripper? 12? 16? will be throwing mostly wt forward lines and shooting heads and running line. thanks. Re: guide size for 7wt fly rod

I'm in the middle of building a 7wt now using Pac Bay LTCNG size 12 & 10 for strippers and then their LTCFNG fly guides in size 6 and finished off with a TCPNT tip top.

Try 16, 12 then all 7's. Also, you might want to consider SiC. SVSG strippers and SG running. Not that much more than Alconite and definitely smoother and lighter. Re: guide size for 7wt fly rod
