Tom, in case you didn't already know it, someone is sending out E-mails to the effect that Rodmaker has shut down. Just FYI.

Pay no attention to it - it's a spoof. This sort of thing has been going on for about 5 years now. I don't keep any sort of email address list for subscribers so nothing of that sort would ever originate from me.

If you look closely at the address of the email you received, you'll probably see that it reads something like, "[email protected]" or "[email protected]." Neither of those are my email address.

Of course it's also possible that they may be spoofing my actual email address as well - that's happened in the past too. But either way, RodMaker is alive and well. The new issue (volume 10 #3) is on press today and mails on June 1st. RodMaker volume 10 #4 is nearly finished and it will mail on August 1st. Pretty good for a magazine that has supposedly shut down.

As I said, just disregard such things. No email list for RodMaker subscribers exists and even if it did no one other than myself would have access to it. They're just pulling email addresses off of this site and only a tiny number of those who use this site are subscribers to begin with. I suspect more non-subscribers will get the spoof than will actual subscribers.

Bruce,

Glad you enjoyed your first magazine. Thanks for the kind words.
