While this may not be considered unusual by most of you, it was a very nice surprise for me. I paid for a new subscription to RodMaker Magazine earlier this month, and I calculated that I would have to purchase the previous issue with the articles by Scott and Bill as a standalone purchase since it had already shipped. This what I have come to expect when I subscribe to magazines if the issue has already shipped. So imagine my amazement when the mail came to day and there was a white covered publication from Rodmaker magazine with a hand lettered address. I had to check the calendar and see if possible it was already time for the next issue.. I was even more surprised when I opened it and there was Issue 2 of Volume 10, with Bill Colby's work adorning the cover.

Thanks Tom, for proving that you really are about service in addition to presenting a great resource.

You're certainly welcome. It would be a lot less expensive on my end to just make new subscribers wait until the next regularly scheduled mailing (3rd class) but I hate to have some guys waiting up to 2 months for their first issue. So I just bite the bullet and send them whatever the current issue is by 1st class mail. I like to get something in their hands as soon as possible.

Hope you enjoy it - you certainly started off with an issue that has some very interesting features in it.
