Hi all, I am finally getting around to redoing my surf rod. Nothing like waiting to fish are being caught, LOL. The guides are off and I want to replace the cork tape on the fore adn butt grip. The fore grip has an epoxy ramp that I had made to transition the thread onto the top of the tape. Is there a simple way to remove the epoxy. It is either Devcon 5 min or 2 ton epoxy.
Thanks Tony Re: how to remove an epoxy ramp?

In a nut shell NO.
With that type of epoxy hair dryer heat, cutting with razor blade or Xacto knife, heat, cut, heat, cut, go slow as to not damage the blank. You could try a Dremel tool but REALLY BE CAREFUL. Re: how to remove an epoxy ramp?

Darn, not what I hoping to hear, LOL. I expected it, but still. I'm going to try to slowly remove it. It's built up pretty good near the grip, should be able to use the dremel there and hand sand/razor blade the rest.
Thanks Tony Re: how to remove an epoxy ramp?

The epoxy dremel's EASY with one of those hard stones.....it just grinds off like magic!
