leather foregrips

Hi, just started rod making, heavier offshore rods. Im doing leather foregrips, the first attempt was a disaster. any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.

i have the leather grips, got them from biscayne rod. first attempt, seems like my finish was to thick, i blead over onto the leather, lots of bubbles etc.

here is a pic of the grip i purchased on the left, the right is hopefully what it will become.

Put the photos on the photo page and somebody can probably help you. Many of the guys here use the leather foregrips.

Tim did post a photo on the photo page, but I do not think his name was valid. It was only one name, timturner without a space, maybe it was removed due to rule sviolation? Not fo rnothing, the picture that was posted wasn't showing much of anything, try taking a closer pic of the problem.

not that I stalk the boards for hours each day, lol.
