I used some H and H single foot wire standoff guides on a 3 wt while ago. I thought these would be superior because they are lightweight and still hold the fly line off the blank. I havent been disapointed. However now having another 3wt project I am tempted to try to find these guides but my searches have turned up with nothing.
Does anyone know where i can find these? I figured they would be superior to other wire single foots because they hold the fly line out from the blank. Is this true? Maybe the marginal difference is not worth producing them anymore? Calvin Re: Single Foot Stand off

It's better to have the line closer to the blank actually, as long as it doesn't actually rub the blank.
I think Angler's Workshop carries the old H&H type, however, if you still want them. ................. Re: Single Foot Stand off

Anglers Workshop 2006 catalog, pg 98, I think item # HSLSC, HSLSB, HSLSG,HSLST are the stand-off SF guide models but I would ask them for confirmation.. They use the term "low guides" instead of stand-off if I remember right. The catalog pic shows the stand-off guides with different Item #'s which was confusing.
They are not on the Anglers Workshop website that I know of. H&H sent me some samples and told me to buy them from Anglers Workshop in the US when I wanted more. I like them in sz 1/0 as running guides on 1-4 wt rods myself for shooting line a bit cleaner than regular snakes and SF guides. Just my prefference.
