Hello all
I was given an old 2 piece boat rod with the wood handle, it was going to end up in the garbage. I will be stripping the wood handle a redoing it, guides will go of course and be replaced with new ones. I was wondering on the blank, its a white fiberglass blank, is permagloss the best thing to apply to it once I strip off the old finish on it, and should I replace the ferrules or just clean them up.. As always Thanks for your replies and help. Fernando Torres Re: Old 2 piece boat rod

PG will do a great job.The ferrules can either be replaced or polished. The choice is your.Depends on how corrroded they are and if it goes through to the brass. Freddwhy (Rapt-Ryte) Re: Old 2 piece boat rod
