I just finished up an older Rainforest IM6 green blank using a very "plain" black wrap with metallic green inlays and trim bands. Did a simple cheveron wrap fading back and forth between the black and metallic green in the split grip section. It does look very nice, in a stealth sort of way, if I do say so myself. Thanks for all of the help guys. I never would have thought about these different options. Looks like I have a big thread order to make so that I can try out a bunch of these suggestions. Anyone have any idea if any of the vendors sell for really cheap or give away broken or unuseable blanks that I might me able to get my hands on to use for wrap samples? It would be really nice to have a set of samples that I can refer to so that I would know what the threads will look like once they are actually finished. Re: What colors look good with green???

Burton,
Pick up a piece of 1/2 dowel or PVC pipe and paint it black (sand it first). Either one makes a perfect "practice" rod. for very little cost and NO shipping! Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/09/2007 05:43PM by Mike Barkley.
