The question was asked at the show how my Diamondite Color Preserver would respond to being frozen. I talked to my chemist when I returned form the show and he felt that there would be no adverse effects on the product when returned to room temperature. So, I hard froze the product and returned it to room temperature twice in the last 2 days. I just got done applying it to a 5 different test samples using 5 different materials.
My chemist was correct, no adverse effects to the Swifty Diamondite Color Preserver when frozen and returned to room temperature. It dried quickly and accepted finish just like it did prior to being frozen. I have a few other areas of testing on items that were discussed at the show. I will keep everyone informed of the results of those tests. Tim Campbell Swifty Manufacturing (626) 963-1142 Re: Frozen Diamondite Color Preserver

hmm .. first time i heard of frozen cp working..!
flexcoat cp cannot be used/thawed after freezing.. must be due to different chemical composition - Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day.. Teach a man to fish, he'll be broke! Re: Frozen Diamondite Color Preserver

My Diamondite Color Preserver is nothing like the other products on the market. My product is not acrylic based like most of the others. Tim Campbell Swifty Manufacturing (626) 963-1142 Re: Frozen Diamondite Color Preserver

Most water based Urethanes are usually designed to withstand 2-3 freeze thaw cycles unlike acrylics (FlexCoat, U-40 etc.) which are pretty much unuseable after having been frozen even one time.
However after 2-3 freeze thaw cycles that all bets are off depending on the formulation. Andy Dear Lamar Fishing Re: Frozen Diamondite Color Preserver

Until the show in High Point, I really did not know that much about the Diamondite product line. Early one moring before the show opened for the attendees, Tim came over to my booth and we had a nice converstion about his products. He explained some features of his prodcut line, being the finish, color preserver and the grip material he has. All of the sudden my mind starts to wake up and take note. One of the first questions I then asked was about his color preserver. I told him the problems we had with shipping during the winter, due to cold conditions and various other water based color preservers freezing during transport. He then stated that lots of folks had visited his booth and asked why my business, Custom Tackle Supply was not a distributor for his products. The customers telling him they would like to purchase his products, as they placed orders with us and to work on me about that situation. Well, sure enough he came over and not only was nice enough to educate me about his procuct line, but sold me on carrying them. Especially since folks that already order from me really want them and at once. One more reason for folks to enjoy what we in this business call, "One Stop Shopping". Now for those of you that would like to purchase the Diamondite product line thru us, we have placed our order with Tim and should have all the products ready for shipping within the next week. Whether it be Swifty finish, color preserver, adhesives or his grip material, just contact me and we'll take care of your requirements. Give me a call at 931-684-6164 or e-mail me at - customtackle@united.net - to place an order or just remember the next time you order that we have added these fine products. As a added bonus, for those that want to go ahead and order, we will be honoring the 20% OFF Show Special that was offered at the ICRB Show in HIigh Point. I will ship your order now or hold it and ship with your next order, if you would like to take advantage of the extra 20% savings. Thanks Tim for waking me up and opeing my eyes to your product line.

Bob,
Congrats on distributing this product. I have loved this product from the get-go and finish about 500 rods a year with never an issue. I look forward to placing my first order with you in the next couple of weeks Dave Gibson Re: Frozen Diamondite Color Preserver
