Unified Wheel

I bought a unified wheel from Bingham Enterprises a few weeks ago and I finally bought a 1/4in. arbor to use the wheel on my lathe. What is the maximum safe rpm. to use the unified wheel? Ralph

If at first you don't succeed, go fishing, then try, try again.

You can turn it at the usual AC motor speed. The wheel won't fragment or come apart.

I recently purchased the Morton Guide Spacing Chart from Renzetti. Does anyone have any better instructions re: set up and use other than the one that came with the chart?

Much better instructions are in the Volume 4 #6 issue of RodMaker. I edited those to make them far easier to understand.

However, now that I've said that, I have to mention that that back issue is sold out. It is, however, on the new RodMaker Volume 4 CD. I will have these at the show this weekend and they'll be up on the website in a couple weeks.

Talk to anyone who has the chart from Renzetti and they'll tell you the instructions are a mess. I'm going to speak with Andy this weekend about that one and the one he includes with his lathe. Both need to be vastly improved.
