Guys, I'm helping my son put decals on a wooden trophy for work. He works for the DNR so this is fishing related. :) The trophy is a handmade outboard replica that has been painted with an oil-based paint. It's too rough for the decals so I want to lay on a light coat of LS Supreme. Think that will be okay over this paint?
Thanks! Re: LS Supreme over oil-based paint?

As long as there is a water break free surface it will bond beautifully. Clean the surface with some denatured alcohol and then lightly with grey scotch bright pad. Do not scuff the surface just dull it slightly then put on the LS Supreme.
It will turn out fine. I have done this with enamels (oil) based because they have a nice rich color in oil base paint from the arts and craft store. Putter may have used some too. His Rod Shop Joe Kassuba Re: LS Supreme over oil-based paint?

Thanks guys. I assumed as much (but that usually gets me in trouble).
