Hello Everyone
I fished with a custom rod today with the following components 6ft MLT sTCroix Legend Elite blank,Shymano Symetre 1500 reel,6lb Floro.line, pretty normal so far. Guides 20MM {1}, 10MM {6} TIP TOP 6MM. This rod cast and performed very well while cathing small mouth bass. The question, would this be a better set up with smaller terminal guides and if so what are your size suggestions. Your knowledge is highly regarded. Thanks Keith Thanks Keith Lovegrove Re: Rod performance

I think that I would have gone with 20, 10, and #6 fly type ceramics the rest of the way, depending on static testing and set up via the New concept system in the library above. Mike (Southgate, MI) If I don't want to, I don't have to and nobody can make me (except my wife) cuz I'm RETIRED!! Re: Rod performance

You might consider one intermediate guide between the 20 and the 6's.
