can you use lite build for the first application the come back with a high build to finish a rod. just wondering Re: lite and high build finish flex coat

The two types of the same product are compatable so long as the 2nd coat is applied with in 72 hrs after that; a light buffing with a fine grey scotch brite pad is necessary prior to the 2nd coat application.
I don't find a great deal of difference between lite and high build flexcoat. high is not often high enough to cover in one coat, or if applied to heavily in an attempt to use one coat it cures wavy and needs another coat and possible sanding inbetween. And the idea of using a lite and a high build coat is using excess material, where as two lite build coats are better, and are all that is necessary. Then again, some guys a can get away with one coat of lite build, I'm never that lucky, even though I pack, torch and brunish th threads well. Re: lite and high build finish flex coat

Yes, You can put Flex Coat high build over Flex Coat Lite.
