Does anyone know if Patriot Custom Rods is still in business? I have been trying to get to their website for a few weeks with no success.

Thanks,
Scott Sheets

The last time I talked to Dave was way back in the spring of this year. I hope nothing has happened to him. Website seems to have vanished.

I wonder if Dave is using Talon blanks like J. Higley did. I know of one person who said he just recently bought a Patroit rod directly, bit I too, when looking for the website was unable to pull it up. I have to wonder just how custom the rods are, in the last days of Higley, they were more production rods than custom rods due to the sheer numbers he put out, and Dave was helping out in the production line and by making custom rod racks, maning the booth at the local sportfishing show.

Call or send him an email.

Dear Dave

I am in need of a match pair of SPINNING rods.

L-6' One Piece Rod

MED HEAVY

Tip-Fast or Extra Fast tip

Rod IM8 or compariable

Guides- Titannium guides 7

handle- lightest balanced sensitive handle

These rods are for fishing the Detroit River Walleye and using a 1 ounce jig and need to feel the bottom when bouncing the jig or the tapping of the jig by a walleye and setting the hook fast.
