TRY- LITTLE MACHINE SHOP.COM - THEY HANDLE A LOT OF PARTS FOR MANY MACHINES. iF YOU HAVE A MORSE TAPER IN THE HEADSTOCK, THEN LOOK AT WOODCRAFTERS, THEY ALSO HAVE A VARIED SELECTION OF CHUCKS. I HAVE A JET AND A SPEEDWAY METAL MINI LATHE AND THEY HAVE MORSE TAPER #2 SO I CAN USE DRILL CHUCK, IN TAIL STOCK AND IN HEADSTOCK OF THE JET, AND IN THE TAIL STOCK OF THE SPEEDWAY. Just did a quick google, one of the results that came up was from Amazon.com. One reviewer writing about the lathe said he used a Nova 3G chuck. Sounds like it might cost more than the lathe itself. [www.woodcraft.com] has the Nova 3g for $139. Wood turning and lathes are things that I don't know anything about but with time and money want to explore. Are third party chucks a universal fit on any brand lathe? If so then look for a chuck that fits your budget.
Hope this helps some. Re: wilton mini lathe

What do you want to hold with the chuck? Since you bought a Wilton, I take it you're looking to get away cheap. If you just want to hold Andy's mandrels, this is probably your cheapest way out ($49):
[www.pennstateind.com] If you plan to turn reel seats you'll also need a Jacobs chuck unless you have a drill press. The Nova G3 is a 4 jaw chuck and though excellent, is overkill for that lathe. There many options depending on what you'd like to do with the lathe. Tony Re: wilton mini lathe

thanks guys, sorry i didnt reply sooner but there was a death in the family. i picked up the lathe on a closeout sale with the idea of turning handles, it was cheaper than building a drill lathe and i was just planning on using Andys mandrels once again thanks.
