ALPS Question

Just got an ALPS MD-1000 and have a driver question.

From the ALPS web site, do I use the MD-5000 XP driver or the MD-1000 95/98 or ME driver?

I am running XP pro.

Can't wait to see how this thing prints!

HI PAUL,
The best way to get answers to ALPs questions is to go to the ALPS Yahoo group. They have all the answers to ALPS printers.

I think this link is what you want [tech.groups.yahoo.com]

As I understand it, they have an XP driver for the Md-1000. Problem is, It's on the alpsdecal2 user group, which you have to be granted rights to. I have requested access rights, but am waiting for them to be granted. And... well, the printer is here so I am too anxious to wait.

I have searched there and here, but didn't see a clear answer.

Go to the Alps website (?? alpsusa ??) - I think that's it... and order a disc from them through the website. They'll send it through the mail free. They don't have a 'downloadable' driver, but they are available this way last I checked.

Thanks Putter! I finally found that same answer on the alpsdecal group. For some reason the have not posted the XP driver for the MD-1000 on their web site. Wonder why?

Paul.

Don't wait! They're shutting down their US support THIS YEAR. If you can still catch them, it's as easy as Putter says. I dropped them an email and had an XP disc in a couple of days.
If you can't get it from them, drop me a note and I'll try and burn you a copy.
