last week i bought some Steelhead Blanks from Cableas.
They are named Cabela's Fish Eagle II Steelhead Rod Blank 906.
The Blanks have the follwing details:

Does anyone know who is the manufacturer of this Blanks.

Cabelas has blanks made for them by various companies. Loomis has made a few, as have many other companies. But they are typically lines designed and built for Cabelas and not likely to be the same offered in the manufacter's own line.

I bought two of these, they arrived today. It states on my blanks "made in China"
They look very good and excellent value for the price I paid.
I look forward to seeing them made up.

I just posted a picture of my grandnephew and a crappie that he caught on a custom made Fish Eagle 2 rod that I made for him. At dinner the day after Thanksgiving he asked me how big the fish was. He guessed that it was 6 inches. I told him that the fish always seem smaller when you look down at them and from where I was standing the fish appeared to be 12 inches long and weighed about two pounds. He just nodded approval. His dad said, "You are going to make a real fisherman out of my boy." After fishing, his dad took him hunting and they came back with a buck and four quail. Talk about a "boys life." The next morning we counted 35 wild turkeys eating pecans in his neighbor's yard. I almost forgot, the Fish Eagle blanks are nice.

i made one of these (not steelhead) for my first custom rod, but then again i only paid 12.50 for the whole kit
