finish for decals

I have built about a dozen rods over the last couple of years and did not put decals on any of them. I would like to do so now (while I can still remember the details). I would rather not mix a batch of epoxy finish (which I used for the rods) for each decal application. I only have the capacity to dry one rod at a time. Can Permagloss be used effectively for this application? If so, how many coats would usually be needed?

Thanks,
Chris

If you put PG firectly on to the decal, it will probably dissolve it as it's pretty hot. Cover the decal with CP or artict's fixitive to seal it. I don't know a lot about PG but if you are talking about rods over a few days old, I would think that the surface would have to be scuffed to a water break free status and the whole area will have to be recoated.
