Afternoon,
Question: For using with a reel seat insert, which will be the more durable finish, permagloss or tru oil? Second, is it ok to put permagloss over top of cured tru-oil? Thanks Carrington Re: Tru-Oil Vs. Permagloss- compatible?

either is fine by itself. permagloss would be harder and more permanent. i would remove the tru-oil before applying the permagloss. i have never applied permagloss over tru-oil and wouldn't take a chance of ruining a seat. tru-oil is easy enough to remove, but i believe permagloss would be more difficult to remove. if you try this let me know how it turns out.

Thanks J P,
