I have the final picture for the tutorial posted with the minor glazing I caused while tightening. Maybe you can download it and add it to your tutorial file or just keep it separate. Re: Final Picture for tutorial posted.

Doc;
Still looks pretty awesome! Is that for a particular veteran? Re: Final Picture for tutorial posted.

Doc,
You asked for any comments about the tutorial. The tutorial was directed at those who already understand the weaving process and just needed some simple tips on how to complete them with the best fit and finish possible. You hit the nail on perfectly on the head IMHO! Visual pointers to clearly show what the text was discribing. Clear photos of before and after. Tools used and instructions for making them. Not a long winded summation but a simple "see this? fix it like this" To the point and clearly understood by anyone who has tried a weave or two. Doc that was a real great tutorial! The clarity of the photos and the pointers and the way it was set up just made it a pleaure to read. I got some new tips from your method that I can't wait to apply. As usual your work is second to none and I no the veteran that rod is destined for is a lucky person. Interesting I am right now building a rod for a regular customer whos grandson is coming home from Iraq with the marine corps. Needless to say that just makes working on this particuler rod a little bit more from the heart then usual. I would have done it for free but to get payed was the icing on the cake and i have known the kid since he was in dieppers so the only thing I would allow him to pay for was the ingredients. Tough to make money like this but as i told the grandfather atleast i live in a country where I can get a chance to make a living doing the work I love to do so I owe the kid for his sacrifice to us. Doc,
Great tutorial. I purchased your weaving DVD at the Hall show in L.B., but there were items in the tutorial I didn't notice on the DVD. Great job. Thanks again. P.S. did anything ever come of the possible rod show or get together for the west coast guys you were compiling a list of names and email addresses for ? Re: Final Picture for tutorial posted.

Hi Bart - the last I heard it was in PBs hands and they were trying to organize something at the Fred Hall Long Beach show. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
