Tom, I was going back over this Rodmaker issue and found that beautiful wrap of your Surf Rod on page 21. Is this technique basically an extention of the "Narrow Trim Bands and Thread Inlays" article from Volume 6, Issue #1 or is this a completely different style of wrapping? My first thoughts are how many tag ends are there to be trimmed off - that's where I always have to trim the bumps off after the first coat of finish. That is really a sharp looking wrap! I'm not quite sure - are you referring to the rod in the photo gallery section? If so, those wraps are a combination of narrow trim bands and inlays. Each wrap would have one pull-through tag end to be trimmed.
Nothing special about the wrapping - just narrow trim bands and some assorted inlays. ........... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
