Let me preface my remarks by reminding this is not a sarcastic question. I'm looking for the cheapest shipping.
I checked out some Basic Rodbuilding DVD's and the postage for shipping was crazy. On one site the postage on a $25 DVD was $10. Is that crazy or normal shipping rates? WOW! I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED I WAS SEARCHING FOR DVD'S DETAILING FLY ROD BUILDING, WHICH IS WHAT I BUILD MOST OFTEN. Thanks again, Bruce Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/02/2006 08:37AM by Bruce A. Bruce,
We ship our DVD's for $4.55 via priority mail. However they are not general rodbuilding DVD's. Andy Dear Lamar Fishing Products Re: Rod Building DVD's

Bruce,
We ship DVD's for $2.55 First Class and $4.05 Priority, both with delivery confirmation. In fact, we can ship several for $4.05 priority. We charge what the Postage Scale says and no more. Our DVD selection can be viewed here---> [] Sorry to keep editing, but I'll point out the same thing I mention on our "shipping" page. "Over charging" on online shipping is often a software issue, rather than a vendor issue. Yes, there are those who "Gouge" on shipping charges for no reason other than to make profit. It's always a good idea to look at shipping costs before you get TOO excited about an online price. I've yet to find a software program that will properly "combine shipping". By that I mean software that will take the ACTUAL weight of various items and calculate their shipping weight in a single box. Everything that we've looked at allows you to enter ONLY a shipping weight for a given item. For example, a 3oz. spool of thread that ships in a 2oz. package has a shipping weight of 5oz. Buy two and the automated shipping software will charge you for 10oz. (8oz. actual), buy three it's 15oz. (11oz. actual) and so on. The only way I've found to automate our checkout process to include shipping overcharges the customer, which is why we don't do it.
