Anybody have experience with Lamiglas IM700 fly blanks? I'm looking to build a 4 pc 8 wt to use for light saltwater species (bonefish, speckled trout, whatever else is available and fun to catch in the Bahamas) and I see that a sponsor has such a blank available on closeout for $90. This rod will not see much use (unless I take up steelhead fishing up here in WI), so I don't want to shell out a lot. Is a Dan Craft a better choice? Re: Lamiglas IM700 fly blanks

Patrick,
Let this fellow ex-cheese head help ya. I just built an IM 700 blank that i really do like. I think $90.00 is very reasonable for the rod as the blanks have a crisp feel to them. ALso, it would work great in WI streams, as I was born and raised on them, before moving her to Alaska. So there ya have it my friend. Take care and good luck. Paul Re: Lamiglas IM700 fly blanks

Lamiglas make nice fly rod blanks, I own a few IM700, Perigee, and XMG50 rods and enjoy them all. Angler's also had a great deal on the Ti2000 5 wt 4 piece fly blanks when I was in there last. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
