For what it is worth Lori, (and Michael too)

I was talking with a friend (fellow builder) just this morning about his crosswraps and
technique and about other newcomers and he mentioned he was looking at the photos
posted by you and Mike. He has been building rods and trying decoritive wraps twice as
long if not longer than you two and he was very impressed by the wraps the two of you
are doing!

You go girl!!

Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it..

WOW! Thanks Raymond. That is cool to know that we are "ahead" of our time, so to speak. I mainly try to push the envelope because Michael brings that out of me. But yet, we still keep it fun. We just try to take it to the next level. We are both LOVING this craft to its fullest. And I hope to be able to turn it into a business. We live in a great area for it ... I just feel stupid for not thinking about it sooner (since I am from here). But better late than never.

Glad to know people enjoy looking at our work just as much as we love doing it.

Happy Fishin!

OK, I'll bite - where are you?

Your work is indeed imporessive. If this is what you're doing now, I can't wait to see what you'll do as time goes on. You're going to have some very lucky customers!

The fun of this never goes away, at least for me.

Uncle Russ

Lori,
My wife is much more of a craftsman and artist than I am. Since she saw Putter's DVD.s some of these low end rods I make go out of here looking pretty great. I was taken back on what a few inches of HT Electric braid could do to a rod and Trisha is great at it. I will be glad when she retires next year and have some fun making these sticks.........Yall have a nice day.........

Russ, we are in South Texas. Thank you for your kind words! My husband and I both really love this craft to the fullest. It is great to know that people love looking at our work just as much as we love doing it. I hope our future customers will feel the same way as you do! Have had some offers to do some rods, but the timing was not quite right. Taking it to the business level full force wont happen for another yr or so. We still have so much to learn even though we have learned quite a bit already. We both eventually want to learn how to weave. That will be REALLY fun. And we are keeping it fun to. Trying to one up the other. And pushing each other w/ some friendly competition. It would definately be the dream job.
