I am looking for a reel seat that is the type where you dont have to have a foregrip. It is the same reel seat that is on the berkley rods from last year. It has a screw down foregrip..any suggestions on where to find one? Re: searching for a certain type of reel seat

Try the Fuji IPS reel seat and the foregrip and nut from Custom Tackle, on the left. Re: searching for a certain type of reel seat

Angler's Workshop has the complete reel seat as you've described it called "halfc" (casting) or "halfs" (spinning). Page 103 of their new catalog. They are also a sponsor of this site and should be shown on the left side of your screen. Mark Boggs Springfield, OR Re: searching for a certain type of reel seat

Tyson, the IPS seat is a spinning seat. There is a trigger attachment that fits into the body and protrudes through a hole in the cork. It is not an exposed blank setup however.
Sounds like you want something like an ECSM sized to fit your blank, and the screw down foregrip to match it. Re: searching for a certain type of reel seat

I am still having problems finding a reel seat that will work. A lot of the BPS and some other have the screw in type reel seats that you use the foregrip to tighten up the seat...anybody's help would be great...
