Hi
Thanks to the help received from you guys and the pics in the photo section I am well on my way with my power wrapper. (I am using an aluminium extrusion as the base with silver steel rod as the upright and square alumnium bar as the crosspeices on top and bottom) I have noticed that most people use thin rollers - I am planning to use commercially availble rubber wheels with a 3" diameter and about 3/4" width - is this a problem. Is there a reason why people use thin rollers? Thanks Re: Power wrapper roller width ?

I have not made one, but I use a wrapper that has thin rollers. It does help when you are placing the rollers inbetween guides on the tip section of the rod. Re: Power wrapper roller width ?

Depending how the wheels are placed you ay have a problem with small dia. rods falling between the wheels or not getting any locking down pressure from the top wheel.

The wheels are thin because they cause less friction
that way. They don't need to be thick to do the job that's intended for them. Raymond Adams Eventually, all things merge, and a river runs through it.. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
