Bwtter Apoxy Finish Vol 9 Issue 1 Question

I followed this procedure on my last build and was vey pleased at how much better the finished rod looked. In a moment or when I get your opinion on what I am thinking I'll finish my next.
Using Flex Coats formula for thinning (.5cc acetone / 6cc mix) will i still be able to use the method you discribe for application? I would like to end up with only a single coat and minimum build-up. I am using high build but would use low build if I had some. Can you speculate on the end results. Should I expect greater drooping?

Personally, I would stay away from thinning your finish If you want a thinner coat, just put on less! You can put hi build on as thin as you want.

If you get the mix right - with CP - maybe one coat.

You will get a nicer finish with ( 2 ) thin coats. First coat acts as a base. Secound coat puts a finial gloss

No need to thin it, just put on less. That will give you what you're after. One easy way to do this is to use a slightly stiffer brush.

And yes, the lite version or a thinned version of the higher build will mean that the finish will droop easier, unless you put on much less. The thicker viscosity finishes can support more of themselves wtihout drooping or sagging.
