Kreinik braids for butt wraps?

I can find Kreinik braids in various widths at my local A. C. Moore. Having just watched Randy Parpart's DVD on braids and wraps, I was wondering if that might work for a butt wrap. Has anyone ever used the stuff? I know it is used quite a bit in fly tying (see the Harrison Steeves books).
Thanks -John Re: Kreinik braids for butt wraps?

I'm not familiar with that material, John. But if it's strong enough to put some fair tension on while wrapping, it should do the trick, I would think. Putter Williston, ND Re: Kreinik braids for butt wraps?

I have used it for trim wraps. Pretty stuff, the only thing I could find locally to match the gold finish on a new Pfluger reel. I used the finest braid they make and it was quite bulky compared to A size. Not to worry about strength. I put a very strong pull on it to seat it firmly with just a double wrap. Trimmed the tags and nothing let go though I was a bit worried about that. Held long enough to apply the finish. Result was very nice. That was a dark grey blank with chestnut main wraps and all titanium guides. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
