Rod Blank Suggestion

With the help of people on this board, I built a beautiful Sage RPL 8 wt for my dad. A few days after I finished, I lost it and everything else I owned in a house fire. So now I'm on a quest to build him another rod. Originally I thought that would be a good rod for him for beach fishing for stripers. Now I'm rethinking that decision.

As he's gotten older he's not too keen on wading with me to fish any more, so I was thinking that a longer rod for stream fishing might be a better idea. He could stand in one spot and high stick from the bank, using a modified spey to bring the fly back up, to remove the backcast from the equation.

So, is there a good blank for this, not exactly a switch blank but a long (10') fly blank. And if possible something powerful enough to also beach fish? I know that this is a lot for one blank, but was wondering if one of the Dan Craft blanks might fit the bill.

Otherwise, I will take separate suggestiong for these two applications.

Maybe take a look at surf blanks ??
I know where you can get a 20' 4 piece ?? With it he could sit in the car and fish. LOL

Since I'm short on time, I'm actually looking for specific blank recommendations.

Try the Dan Craft FT blanks in the 10 ft range, do an author search of Bob Meiser for some info on them from maybe a year ago. That said Bob's switch rod blanks are supposed to be something very special as they were developed just for what you want. He has a great selection and should have what you need.

Forgot to mention his link, R.B. Meiser rods to the left. Super people and the info he freely passes out is in it's self worth the blank price.
