Hey guys,
Just got my alps printer and having a little trouble.........It prints well on decal paper on black and white but when I print in color it wrinkles the decal paper. It may be the paper becasue I bought it at Office Depot and am waiting for my order to get here. Also When I chose the alps printer I don't get the program shown in the user manual. I don't know how to use the metalic cartiradges. It prints great color photo. It loaded and set up easy. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

Big John

On the old Windows 98 program, the thing works fine. On XP, it's a different look and loses some of the printing options until you email AlpsUSA and they send you a disc in the mail to load onto your Winder's XP and then it works better there. I still use 98 with my Alps.

I'd think it's the paper causing the wrinkling, Big John.

I had to get the driver also for XP from ALPS. As far as the metallic cartridges go just put one in all the way to the right side. Then you have to check mark the "spot colors" box, then "single ink" from the drop down menu and then choose the single ink cartridge you want.

John if you go to [www.alpsusa.com] you can download the users guide for the MD1300 while not all the models are the same it should give you a fair idea on using the printer
[www.alpsusa.com] has a number of the last drivers available- good untill you get the CD
hope this helps
