Steve,
Be careful. That sounds an awful lot like more advertising to me. The physics is the same for everyone including CTS, GUSA and American Tackle. Re: Another Matrix blank question

The American Tackle Matrix blanks are quite good. But the twill or matrix overlay is indeed mostly for cosmetic purposes.
Anybody that intends to be successful in the custom rod builders should certainly understand the make up of various blanks and why one might offer some advantages that another does not. But you also need to recognize why people buy what they do. At some point, you will have to do something to catch the customer's eye. That doesn't mean you have to feed him a line, just that you have to realize that people tend to bond with their cars, clothes, boats, fishing rods, etc. The twill on the AMTAK Matrix blanks offers a look that you cannot get in a commercially made rod. A good builder with an eye on marketing could do well with these blanks and would certainly be offering his customers a good rod aside from the nice cosmetics. Would it be in the same performance category as a CTS, SCV, GLX? No, but it doesn't pretend to be nor is it priced at that point. ................ Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
