A few months ago I bought about 25 spools of the metallic and the holoshimmer Sulky thread. I love it. Awesome colors and the holoshimmer is great. It stays put on the blank when wrapping. Alot of flat mylar type threads skate around and have a hard time laying well on the blank. This product is very user friendly. Not to mention 250 yrds at the same price as most 100 yrd spools from other companies. Glad to see you guys carrying it!

I just received mine yesterday........looks real nice. Can it be used for guide wraps, or is it not strong enough?

Bruce, wrap a guide and see for yourself. I've been using Sulky for a couple of years for underwraps and butt wraps, along with YLI/Fishhawk Metallic. Niether are as strong as Gudebrod HT, nor do they have the vibrant colors Madeira has - but they both are by far more user friendly.

Thanks Billy, I love the "J" metallics too, but you can break it just looking at it the wrong way. I guess I'll do a little breaking-strength test for myself.

I've used it on guides on walleye rods with no problems
