did I mess up the trim band?

I just finished tying a trim band and put a drop of CP on it hold it. I had not used CP on the wraps, can I CP the wraps without losening the knot on the trim band? The wraps are black and the rod is dark grey, I could skip the CP and just put on the FC.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,

rhr

Yes - to both questions, IMO. Should be fine both ways.

Thanks Stan,

I'll go with the cp on the wraps and follow with the FC tomorrow. No smoke.

Ralph,

If you used "regular" black thread for the wraps it should be fine. If you used NCP black thread, expect to a see "milky way" effect after applying CP. Bill Stevens and Jesse Buky have both mentioned that effect. I tried it and found their info correct - but not objectionable to my eyes.

Thanks Stan.

I learned how to tie the trim bands from Bill at Charlotte, I'm still learning. Now if I could only learn more about Medicare 2006.

That Medicare is a government thing and they can mess up a wet dream.

Reading this thread for pleasure - working hard - I am going to make a trip to Norfolk next Monday and plan on spending the day with Jesse on Tuesday. I have really been thinking a lot about him for the past few weeks and am glad I have the opportunity to visit. I will pass on the best wishes of all builders to Jesse!
