Pac Bay RDM-1

I just used this dryer for the first time and it worked great.
The first thing I noticed was the less mess when applying the epoxy thread finish.
It was not dripping all over the bench while putting finish on the other guides.
It was also the first time I was able to obtain the high build everyone talks about on some of the new "high end" rods.
Question I have is can I get it to rotate the opposite direction?Flipping the rod is not an option with my bench layout.

Mike,

I'm not 100% sure on the RW-1, but most of Pac Bay's dryer motors are reversible. Try holding the chuck and applying pressure in the direction that you want it to go before throwing the switch. I've got a couple RW-1's in stock and will check/confirm this when I get to the shop this morning.

I have a Forecast Dryer Motor, it reverses rotation by turning the switch on and off.

Mike,
I use the same wrapper. Turn the switch on and off quickly as Dan said. You will be in business.
Have a good day......

Both ideas worked.
The applying pressure idea worked best on mine.
With it running At 9 rpm I could turn
in the direction I wanted and it would reverse.
The off and on idea was hit or miss but I kept trying and it did work.
This is one great spot. Two answers that work in less than 1 hour.
Thanks a lot Tom K, Mark and Dan.

Thanks Big John,
I was typing away when you wrote yours in.
This thread should help anyone that tries a search
on this in the future.
Later,Mike
