acrylic acetate pen blanks

Anybody know where you can get acrylic acetate blanks larger than 3/4x3/4? The 3/4 stuff makes for good seat material but not quite large enough to use for accent rings in grips.

Steve
You might check Craft Supply USA [www.woodturnerscatalog.com] I think they have pen blanks larger than 3/4.

Craft Supplies doesn't have anything larger than 3/4" and that's very standard with everyone except Penn State and their standard is 5/8". There is a place in Utah that isn't quite set up on the internet yet, Pedigree Wood, that is going to be selling some beautiful Italian resins, but I don't know if they are any larger or not. Penn State Industries used to sell acrylic bottle stopper blanks, but I don't know if they still do. Arizona Silhouette sells polyester resin bottle stopper blanks made by Ed Davidson in Colorado Springs. Pipe Maker's Emporium in Phoenix sells lucite rods that are 1" square, but they're 18" long and I believe they also have a $100 minimum order. The lucite turns really nice and they have some beautiful colors. Both AZ Silhouette and Pipe Makers Emporium are on the web. I think that Woodturningz sells Inlace Acrylester blanks. I have one piece I got from a penturning friend and it's 7/8" x 1".

It''s possible Atlas Billiard Supply (www.cuestik.com) has the larger blanks.
