This past winter I purchased a Custom Powerwrap and I continually have a problem with whatever I am turning being sucked out of the three way jaw.
I have tried making sure the work is level, reversing the direction of the roller bearings and even loosening the grip of the rollers. Never had this problem with my homemade lathe used for over twenty years. What am I doing wrong? Jeff Leonard Re: Custom Powerwrap

Jeff; If you are using the concave side of the jaws to hold your work try turning the jaws over so you are holding the piece with the V side. Many blanks are not perfectly round and if you have chucked them on a high area they will come loose as you work. Re: Custom Powerwrap

I flipped mine over right away after the concave side's sharp edges started eating up one of my foam grips. Also check your headstock mine wasn't anywhere close to square with the wrapper's bed. The tailstock and toolrest also had to be re-engineered to get them to work correctly. Re: Custom Powerwrap

I would try wrapping tap around the chuck heead and the handle, wrap a chuck then wrap the handle then a chuck and then the handle and wrap the last chuck and finish off wrapping the handle. This worked on my old RodSmith power qrapper
