A friend was perch fishing last year when he ended up hooking into a 40 inch musky on a nice old fenwick ultralight....
[jbarthelt.com] He landed the fish, but it did a number on several of his guides. [jbarthelt.com] These are the kind that kinda wrap on themselves, similar to the recoils. We found some that we thought were the right ones from pac-bay, but when we got them they turned out to be very thick saltwater guides. So far, the only things I can find even remotely close to this style are the recoils, and I fear that the distance between the guide feet is going to be drastically different between the two. Since the rod is so old, I'll have discoloration where the old feet sat if I don't get the foot spacing right. If anyone has any ideas or info on how to get replacement guides, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe Re: Help finding replacement guides for an old Fenwick rod
