Has anyone built a rod using the HHX blank from Hook and Hackle? Any thoughts would be great, thanks!

Lance,
There is a customer of mine that is waiting for me to modify a 707 XXH for him. I do know the Kencor name is a long standing one with a great reputation in Southern California. There must be some following on the East coast as well because a boat captin suggested this rod for my customer. (Quote : The types of fishing I will be doing is deep sea out of Morehead city or Calabash NC. These trips are 18 and 24 hr is duration and we are catching Grouper, Dolphin;Red Snapper, Amberjack we travel about 60 to 80 miles off shore on the contential shelf and the fish run anywhere from 20 to 50lbs bigger if I'm lucky in about 300+ feet of water. End Quote)
Hope this helps some.

Tight wraps and lines,
Wylie
